I stole this recipe from my mum! It's oil free simply for the thicker, richer texture and not for any oil-demonising reason! I grew up eating this hummus and can unbiasedly say it is the best hummus I have ever had.
Ingredients:
-2 cans of chickpeas
-2 tbsp tahini paste
-2 lemons, juiced
-2 large cloves of garlic
-2 tsp sea salt
-1 tsp ground cumin
METHOD:
1.drain and rinse chickpeas
2. Put all ingredients into a food processor and blend till desired thickness
3. Taste and add more seasoning if desired
4.Serve immediately in a bowl with an extra sprinkle of cumin or keep in fridge for max 2 days!
5. Optional: lightly drizzle oil on top for serving
