Spaghetti Pomodoro


INGREDIENTS: -300g wholewheat spag (we love fibre) -1 400g can peeled tomatoes -4 tbsp tomato purée -1/4 cup olive oil -1/4 cup fresh chopped basil -1 white onion roughly chopped -5 cloves of garlic roughly chopped -1 tbsp brown sugar -1 tsp red chilli flakes -1 tsp salt -1/4 tsp pepper METHOD: 1. Start cooking your spag in some lightly salted water 2. In a pan, add the oil, onion and garlic- sautée for 5-10 mins till onion is translucent 3. Add the basil and sautee for another 1-2 mins, then add to a blender with all other ingredients 4. Pulse till smooth then add to the spag, top with more basil and extra chilli flakes if you’re feeling spicy
